Curtain Raiser for International Day of Yoga at Karnak Temple, Luxor (19 June 2022)

The Embassy organised a Curtain Raiser for 8th International Day of Yoga at iconic KARNAK TEMPLE in LUXOR, EGYPT on 19 June 2022. Karnak temple is the second most popular site in Egypt after Pyramids, with LUXOR being on UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE list.

LUXOR is widely known as 'world's largest open-air museum'. Construction of KARNAK TEMPLE dates back to 4000 years ago! It was 'Most Sacred of Places' for ancient Egyptians. This ancient heritage site, provided a perfect setting for celebration of IDY2022 at an iconic location.
