The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs is offering 13 slots to Egyptian students under its India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2025-2026. The scholarship provides opportunity to study in Under-graduate, Post-graduate and PhD courses in 131 prestigious Indian Universities/Institutes in the field of Humanities, Commerce, Science, Engineering and Business Studies.

The applicant should register and apply online on the ICCR Scholarship Portal “Admission 2 Alumni” at http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/. The Registration will be open from 20 February 2025 to 30 April 2025.

Students between the age of 18 to 40 years (18 years as on date 01.07.2025) are eligible to apply for UG & PG courses, while age eligibility for PhD program is upto 50 years.

Applicants have the option to apply to 5 Universities/Institutes in order of their preference of study.

Applicants are advised to visit respective Universities /Institutes website regularly for courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about the University/ Institute before applying for admission.

Since the medium of instructions for the courses is English, the applicant should be able to speak, read and write in English. For academic year 2024-2025, a 500-word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency. Students may also submit their TOFEL/IELTS etc.

For B.E./B.Tech courses, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) is compulsory in Grade 11 & 12 examination, as it is a mandatory criteria for Engineering courses.

Only applications submitted through the A2A Scholarship Portal will be considered. The application will not be considered without English translation of documents, if the original documents are not in English.

The scholarship will cover a return economy class airfare, tuition fees, living allowance, and stay in the campus hostel.
