The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) is organizing a Two-Day Silk Exhibition cum Buyer Seller Meet – "Empowering Indian Handicrafts" on 24–25 August 2026 in Cairo, in association with the Embassy of India, Cairo, under the Marketing & Market Support (MMS) component of the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP) of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

2.    The objective of the event is to understand and penetrate the market, domestic production and consumption patterns, and buyer preferences in Egypt, while exploring opportunities for Indian silk and textile handicrafts, silk carpets, silk scarves and stoles, and all
other silk and allied silk products. The exhibition will showcase the craftsmanship, diversity, and quality of the Indian silk industry to Egyptian importers, wholesalers, retailers, buying houses, and design institutions.
