Deepawali was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Indian community in Egypt, at a Cultural programme and Reception hosted by Amb Ajit Gupte at 'India House' on 5 Nov 2021. This was first large-scale celebration of an Indian festival in Cairo, after Covid-19 pandemic began.
Colourful lights, delicious Indian food, music and firecrackers made the event memorable.
An Egyptian cultural troupe 'Team Jazba' and talented members of Indian diaspora regaled the audience with Bollywood dance and music.
