Indian Festivals

MACIC actively celebrates the Indian festivals including Diwali, Holi, Makar Sankranti, Shivaji Jayanti, Veer Bal Diwas, International Dance day and arranges cultural performances.

  • MACIC and Embassy of India, Cairo organized “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign on 8 August 2024. As part of the campaign Ambassador of India to Egypt Mr Ajit Gupte handed over Indian Flags to the members of Indian community in Egypt. Patriotic Songs and painting competitions were also held in August 2024 as part of Bharat Week celebrations.

  • As part of the celebrations of National Unity Day and Birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel a series of the events were organized 31 October 2022 which included floral tributes and forming of human chain at the Embassy. A Unity Race and India Culture evening were also organized at the Arab Contractors Club, Cairo.

  • Ayush Day: MACIC celebrated Ayurveda Day on November 08, 2023 at MACIC premises. An exhibition on Ayurveda and Millets was displayed in the MACIC hall.

  • International Women’s Day: MACIC celebrates International Women’s Day every year. This year, MACIC celebrated IWD with enthusiasm on March 04, 2024. A cultural performance organized in addition to exhibitions on women who had played a significant role in women's empowerment.
