QUESTION:

How can I apply for ICCR scholarship?

ANSWER:

The applicant should register and apply on the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal (http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/). Before filling the form, the applicant should read the guidelines carefully; available at the link (http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/assets/site/docs/applicant_guidelines_beforefilling.pdf). Applications should be complete in every detail to avoid rejection.

QUESTION:

How can I get more details on the available courses and universities for ICCR scholarships?

ANSWER:

All the instructions, guidelines, FAQs, financial terms & conditions, universities list and other details are available on the A2A Scholarship Portal (http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/). Students are also requested to browse for additional information and requirements of each University; for which the applicant have applied, through the university website.

QUESTION:

Are ICCR scholarships available for study in any university in India?

ANSWER:

ICCR scholarships are meant for admissions only in the Indian State/ Central Universities or colleges affiliated to and recognized by the Indian State and Central Universities from the list available on the Portal. ICCR does not offer scholarship for admissions in Private colleges or Universities in India.

QUESTION:

Who can apply for ICCR scholarship?

ANSWER:

Applicants between the age of 18 years to 30 years can apply for Under-graduate and Post-graduate courses. However, the age limit for PhD courses is 45 years. Since the medium of instructions for the course is English, only applicants proficient in English may apply.

QUESTION:

Are there any courses which are not covered under the scheme?

ANSWER:

Scholarship for admission in medical / paramedical (nursing / physiotherapy / anaesthesia etc.) and fashion courses are not admissible under this scheme.

QUESTION:

What are the subjects, which each applicant should have studied in his school leaving examination for being eligible for B.Sc. and B.E./B.Tech. courses?

ANSWER:

For B.Sc. and B.E./B.Tech. courses, candidates should have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their school leaving examination as this is mandatory criteria for these courses. For B.Sc.(Biology) course, candidates should have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in their school leaving examination.

ANSWER:

QUESTION:

What shall I do after applying on ICCR Portal?

ANSWER:

The applicant should submit the following documents:

  • Duly filled in application form with photograph and signature.

  • Copies of all mark sheets for educational qualifications listed in form.

  • Certified copies of translation of documents which are not in English.

  • If the application is for B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. course, scholar should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in his/her school leaving examination. For B.Sc.(Biology) course, candidates should have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in their school leaving examination.

  • Audio/ Video clip of those wishing to pursue courses in performing arts has to be uploaded.

  • Synopsis of proposed area of research when applying for M.Phil./ Doctoral/ Postdoctoral course has to be uploaded.

  • Certificate of Physical fitness.

  • Local Police Verification (Criminal Record)

ANSWER:

QUESTION:

From where can an applicant complete his/her medical fitness certificate?

ANSWER:

The ICCR scholarship applicant can complete his/her medical fitness certificate from any recognized hospital in Egypt.

QUESTION:

Where shall the applicant submit the ICCR scholarship application?

ANSWER:

The applicant should submit the ICCR scholarship application along with all the enclosures at the Embassy of India, Cairo. (5 Aziz Abaza Street, Zamalek, Cairo).

QUESTION:

What is the last date for submitting the ICCR scholarship applications?

ANSWER:

The last date of submitting the ICCR scholarship applications is 15th January 2020 for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, and 15th July 2020 for PhD courses.

QUESTION:

When will be the date of written English test?

ANSWER:

A written English Test will be conducted in the Embassy of India only for the eligible students after scrutiny of their applications. An email will be sent to all the eligible applicants informing them with the date/time of the written English test. Each applicant should check his/her email regularly for the email communications regarding the scholarship.

QUESTION:

Can I know the items that are covered under the ICCR scholarship?

ANSWER:

The scholarship will cover airfare, tuition fees, living allowance, and basic health cover. It may also be noted that for science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges during their study will be borne by the students themselves. Regarding the accommodation, the selected applicants will have to stay in University hostels in India.
