Press Release

Indian Cultural Festival in Sharm El Sheikh

The Embassy of India in Cairo is delighted to announce the Indian Cultural Festival in collaboration with South Sinai Governorate and Savoy Group Sharm El Shekh, to be held from 1-3 September, 2025, at 9:00 pm at SOHO Square, Sharm El Sheikh. The event will be jointly inaugurated on 1st September 2025 by H.E. H.E. Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of Sharm El Sheikh and H.E. Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India to Egypt.

Organized as part of the Embassy’s cultural outreach, the festival seeks to further strengthen the deep-rooted ties between India and Egypt, two nations connected by centuries of shared history and civilizational exchange.

The event will present a vibrant showcase of India’s artistic and cultural heritage, blending timeless classical traditions with the dynamism of modern India. Audiences will enjoy an engaging lineup, including Indian classical dance (Kathak), Bollywood dance performances, soulful Indian music, a Yoga flash mob, screenings of Indian films and documentaries, and an exhibition on ‘Incredible India’.

The Indian Cultural Festival in South Sinai is envisioned not only as a celebration of India’s rich and diverse traditions, but also as a platform to highlight the unique touristic charm of Sharm El Sheikh. By bringing together cultural expression and hospitality, the festival aims to deepen people-to-people connections and foster greater mutual understanding.

This cultural evening offers people of South Sinai and visiting tourists of Sharm El Sheikh an immersive journey into the soul of India—its art, rhythm, music, and warmth. It also reflects the Embassy’s continued commitment to cultural diplomacy and to nurturing the bonds of friendship between the peoples of India and Egypt.

We cordially invite you to be part of this special evening. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of culture, unity, and friendship. For further details, please contact the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC):
