The Indian Embassy in Cairo, Egypt jointly with the MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, will organise the Viksit Bharat Run 2025, on Friday, 26 September 2025 at India House, Zamalek as part of Seva Pakhwada, which reflects collective responsibility.

Seva Pakhwada is a fortnight dedicated to service, responsibility, and collective effort, reflecting the spirit of Service. During this period, activities are organised in India and abroad to promote social responsibility, civic participation, and community service. The Viksit Bharat Run 2025, the key highlight of this year’s Seva Pakhwada, is being organised across over 150 cities across the globe under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation.” The initiative commemorates the 75th birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and reinforces the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

The event will feature a Community Run of 3-5 km, where citizens and the Indian diaspora will come together under the theme “Run to Serve the Nation.” Indian participants will also take Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat Pledges, reaffirming their commitment to a self-reliant and Viksit Bharat (Developed India). As part of the initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” plantable seed armbands will be distributed to the participants. The celebrations will include cultural participation by local leaders and community representatives, highlighting India’s development journey under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. 

We invite all friends of India, local community members, members of the Indian diaspora, and all residents of Cairo to actively participate and spread the spirit of service across the world. By joining this initiative, you contribute to deepening the spirit of friendship and shared values with our Egyptian partners fostering a growing community of mutual support, inspiration, and collaboration.
