The theme for this year, "Yoga for One Earth, One Health," echoes the vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked. Yoga strengthens the body, calms the mind, and fosters a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility in daily life. This mindfulness allows one to choose healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. These IDY events aim to promote wellness and harmony through Yoga, engaging communities across Egypt in the spirit of peace and unity.
Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, the United Nations declared 21st June as the International Day of Yoga on 11th December 2014. The resolution was proposed by India and endorsed by a record 175 member states including Arab Republic of Egypt. The UN General Assembly in its resolution stated that Yoga provides an integrated style for health and happiness and stressed on the importance of increasing the awareness of the benefits of practicing Yoga around the world.
Indian Embassy warmly invites individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to join us in this celebrations. These events are not just physical exercises—they are trans formative journeys toward inner peace, personal well-being, and collective harmony.
