Indian Cultural Festival in Assiut
The Embassy of India in Cairo is delighted to announce the Indian Cultural Festival in collaboration with Assiut Governorate, to be held from 5-6 August, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Cultural Palace, Assiut. The event will be jointly inaugurated by H.E. Staff Major General Hesham Abu Elnasr, Governor of Assiut and H.E. Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India to Egypt.
Organized as part of the Embassy’s outreach efforts, the festival aims to strengthen the cultural ties between India and Egypt, two nations bound by centuries of shared history and civilizational exchange. The evening will offer a spectacular showcase of India’s artistic and cultural richness, reflecting both classical traditions and modern vibrancy.
The festival will feature a vibrant lineup of activities, including Indian classical dance (Kathak), Bollywood dance performances, Indian music, Yoga Fash mob, Screening of Indian films/Documentaries and exhibition on Incredible India.
The Indian Cultural Festival in Assiut is set to not only celebrate the rich and diverse traditions of India but also to highlight the unique heritage appeal of Assiut. Through this vibrant cultural exchange, the festival aims to enhance the people-to-people ties.
This cultural evening offers an opportunity for the people of Assiut and nearby regions to experience the soul of India—its art, rhythm, music and warmth. The event also reflects the Embassy’s commitment to promoting cultural diplomacy and fostering cultural bonds between India and Egypt.
